I need help killing the monster in the Darkwoods, I can't get past that part. Anyone give me any hints on how to kill it?

the rocks he throws are killer, to evade them, keep your character in block mode so you can roll out of the way. when you get close to him, he will flex and do a hulk smash type thing, just roll back away then run up and hit him again.

or, you can get the spell 'assassin's rush' which will let you zip around the troll at amazing speeds. if you have this spell you can evade the airborne boulders with ease and when he does the hulk smash thing, you dont have to rush away from him, just use the spell in sync with his smash and you wont receive any damage.

Here is an easy way to kill the earth troll get slow time and get out any sword go up and keep hitting.when the earth troll lifts its arms RUN!

Lol i beat it on my first try. Alrite heres how to beat it. Use your bow and stay far and strafe. When it throws to rocks pull your bow and shoot it once I think. Then right click to run when it is charging up it's rocks again. Just keep doing it. Lighting doesnt work on it. I tried it -.- and melee takes too much damgage. Best bet is range.

Pull out your sword.
When he throws a rock at you, hit the rock with your sword, and it will fly back up at him. Trust me, it works.

If you have a ranged character:

When it starts throwing rocks,run around.After 3 rocks,it will stop.Shoot it.Then,start running again.

I also recommend using an Oak Longbow (can be purchased at the Darkwood Trader Camp) and the spell Multi Arrows. Just lock on, dodge the boulders, and when it stops, cast Multi Arrows, charge your arrow and let it rip! Just keep repeating until it's down.
