I'm curious about this as well; I'm split between buying the Enhanced Edition and downloading it, mainly because the download is much to large for my taste.
I personally played the update enhanced version to my original. And it's a huge difference and I'm very satisified.
There is a lot of different language, some of the voices have been changed, a lot more baddies come at you in the swamp. Some things are easier, lots more movement with people, not so stiff, their hands make moves and I really enjoy it. Noticed the new mustache on the guard in the dungeon. Lots of new things to see. the area for holding inventory looks twice the size it was before, bigger help.

I spent eight hours trying to get it to download, it would not, that is why I am glad I bought the game.

Ok. That is in the enhanced update also. So far I'm guessing that it's just the same excluding the beautiful package. I play the update and at this point I don't see anything that I'm missing out from. It even says enhanced edition at the title screen.
