has anyone tried putting -nointro in the command line on the shortcut?

So far there is no way to skip the EA intro of Spore , Just live with it!

Go get a drink , sandwich or maybe splash some water on your face before you start the game so that the intro may pass! Don't forever sit glued to your PC!

It's EA, they wouldn't do anything THAT easy

does this mean that our 30 second intro added to all of our trainers would be a bad idea?

i have to restart these games probably more than anyone so i feel your pain! i know of no way to remove it though-

if ESC, mouse click, ENTER, or SPACEBAR don't do it, then it's probably built-into the game code. we won't be chasing that code down for this game-

hmmm i have the patched version and esc works for me.

The intro movie also doubles as a loading screen, and escape only works if the galaxy map has loaded. Probably those of us with fast drives don't notice it so much.

I never had a problem with it until I had a whole mess of races in the galaxy, and then it slowed down a bit.

As I have said, and as a lot of you might have noticed, pre-patch you could skip the intro. Esc would close it out and go to the "SPORE" loading page. Now, you HAVE to watch the intro, and it STILL goes to the loading page.

BTW, a bit off topic, but EA did this to Warhammer online, too. Have to sit through the stupid EA thing.

Ok I found out a way:

go into ea.dat with your dat opener(google)

Go to boot.ih

EA_Setup.gif

-----------------------------------------

Now go to EA_S.ini in the .dat file

Change this:

EA_Setup=EA_Setup.gif

to

EA_Setup=Nothing

AND

NormalBoot=EA.EXE
