i'm no pro gamer by any means of the label, but i definitely get my kicks vegging out on countless hours of game play on occasion...and i'm ridiculously stumped.
i purchased TFU last night, and for the life of me i cannot figure out why i can't force push through that very first barricade encountered. i feel like a tool having to even ask this, but any help would be much appreciated.
    thanks.

first, we're all new to the "series" since this is not a sequel to the Jedi Knight series. and as for the first barricade, I'm assuming you mean the first part of kashyyyk with Darth Vader in the first mission right? Well, to answer, hold down the "force push" button (on 360 its the B button) and it will "Charge" up force push. when its fully charged (screen kind of goes black and white) let it go and it will release a huge push that will bust the gate open. Hope that answered your question, if it didn't, i'll try to help more.

hah. that's kinda funny. i didn't realize that. ordinarily i don't follow these things all that closely...i just know what i think i'm gonna like a lot upon seeing previews. your assumption is absolutely correct, and thanks for the tip...but unfortunately that's the same tact i've been using thus far and it has yet to yield success for me...i have no idea what the issue is. you referenced the 360's b button, so is it valid for me to assume that you're playing another version of the game, and that possibly the versions play out slightly differently?

ok what your gona want to do is git close to the gate about 5 meters away for ppl new to the game then hold the B butten untell the screen goes black and white(at this point make shere that you are looking right at the gate when you have done it the screen shoud shift and shoud be siting on the floor) now let go of the B butten and the force push shout blow the gate up so to speek i hope that helped

ok all i can do now is laugh at myself.
turns out my the root of my problem was in diminished controller functionality. we've got a beagle hound puppy at my mom's place and he likes to chew on all kinds of things. a while back he got hold of both of my 360 controllers to my greatest dismay. one was chewed to hell and back, but the other only had gnaw marks on the left trigger and bumper. as far as i could tell until i broke out TFU it still worked alright, although that could just be because of the relative infrequency of my gaming binges. basically my problem was that the controller was operating in such a way that the left trigger was permanently pressed in, so the default controls were unknowingly and automatically rearranged, and there were basic necessary functions that i couldn't even perform. but i got it all figured out and got a new controller and TFU is pretty much 90% of what i've been doing since then. thanks for the help guys. and thanks for your patience with a seemingly stupid question.
