I'm running the 1.5.04 US, box version, and using the appropriate trainer version. I start the trainer, then start game, then hit F1. I get the 'Activated' message. The Load Game button does nothing, so I've tried Loading Last Save (causes CTD) and starting a new game (also causes CTD).
I've tried with the trainer both in and out of the game's main directory. No FRAPS, anti-virus turned off. There is currently no NO-CD available for US version. No special keyboard software. Don't see any key conflicts. Running on Win XP Pro SP3.
As other people have obviously had success running this, and I've tapped out all the troubleshooting suggestions, could anyone else take a stab at it? Need more info? Will gladly supply
Did the game load/start when you dont use the trainer? btw. did you use any mods?
try to start the game without the trainer and look if it runs, try the load a savegame but better is to make a clear start if you use any mods then move the "gamedata" folder to a other place, well i know its only a try an error version of my tips last chance would be to uninstall and install clear sky again.
The game loads just fine without the trainer. Starting a new game didn't solve things either. I even tried enabling the trainer after I'd loaded my save game....still CTD. And I haven't tried any mods yet.
when the game didnīt start a new game without a ctd i would suggest to uninstall clear sky and install it again. btw. did the game run fine before you patch to 1.504?
hmm, strange dont have any problems you both are sure that you dont use any no dvd cracks or something like that and the patch is complete succesfully installed? i played clear sky over nearly 10 hours without any crashes (international 1.504 with the 1.504 trainer) without using mods and i dont get any crashes, maybe some of youre dirvers are outdated orthe dx version....
something on your system is blocking the injection of the trainer .dll into the gamespace, likely. Usually this is a firewall, anti spam, anti virus, etc.
other than that, you either have wrong version, or incompatable game/patch.
I had the same problem. I have game version 1.5.04 and so far it's working with trainer 1.5.03.
