Hi has anyone else had problems trying to get there PS3 online? I am dieing to play GTA iv online but its just not happening.....I don't know what to do!
Anyone had the same problem? Any advice?
I don't even know how the hell you play online. Do you have to have you playstation hooked up to you computer or does it have to be hooked up to a phone line or a certain kind of cable? Because I have my computer in the basement and my playstation 3 upstairs and there is no way I am lugging this computer upstairs and who wants to play their playsation on such a little computer screen after being used to my bigger t.v. screen upstairs. Please help me cause I just got this playstation in the begining of June and I have nooooooooo clue!!! Thanks

It connects into your wireless or wired network. Either by a CAT5 cable plugged into the back or through your wireless router.
The wire that runs from your cable modem or DSL gateway is a CAT5 network cable. If you plug that into a network router, you can share your internet around your house. Either by running CAT5 to every room or with a wireless router.
When I networked my house, I ran CAT5 all around the basement, where the cable modem and my computers are. Then I passed it upstairs through a hole I drilled in the floor of a closet and to a wireless router. So, the basement has wired internet and upstairs (where the PS3 is) has wireless. Since a wireless signal doesn't pass through floors very well--what with iron spines in recent houses and forced air ductwork--I wouldn't try to use it on both floors.
There is a fairly good chance that this makes no sense to you, but that's OK. There are countless easy to follow tutorials available on the internet with a google search.
