Um... the food was terrible, the booze flowed like water in the Mississippi and all the Army vets were in a niche over in the corner. A cousin of mine who just got back from Iraq pulled me over there since he heard I had been there and wouldn't listen to my protests that I was just a civilian worker for three months. So I sat in awkward silence with people with DSCs and Silver Stars and Purple Hearts up to their ears and drank myself silly and my mom drove me home.
