Creating an old war based game limits the designers as to what they can include, where as in future warfare games they can use a bit more creativity because they can make the future what they want it to be. Not taking anything away from what they've done with world at war, they've improvized well using dogs and what not, but i cant shake the feeling they're using it as a bit of a cash cow.
