Usually when using windows vista, you have to run either the game, or the trainer, or BOTH the game and trainer, as adminstrator. You can do this by right clicking the icon to start the game and selecting run as adminstrator, or you can set it to always run as adminstrator by right-clicking the shortcut, going to the Compatability tab and putting a tick on "Run this program as adminstrator" =)
That said, have you turned off all antiviruses, and applied the no-cd crack? Sometimes that helps too.

Try putting the trainer into your directory (THQ\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl\bin) and it should work. I too have Vista and couldn't get the trainer to work and I've tried all the other solutions. Decided to try to put it in my directory and it works! Give it a shot.
I got it too work but when ever i use a trainer commands i have MAJOR lagg.

Lag is common in trainers, VERY COMMON. NFS: Carbon freezes up for seconds whenever I use the trainer... However, I've had problems with this trainer, and the 1.0006 trainer. They don't work. I have a built-in keypad, and have tried it with Num-Lock on and off. Also, Stalker doesn't use the keypad, unless there is a function tied to it not found in the Controls section of the Options. I always load the trainer first, then run the game, but they don't work. I've tested the Stamina and Encumberance options, and nothing happens. My system is: Windows XP Home SP3 GeForce 6200 256mb 1.5 gb pc2100 RAM Hard drive, cd/dvd drive, all the essentials. Yeah, it sucks, but I run the game at medium, solid 30 fps. The only thing I can think of trying is to load the trainer AFTER I start the game. Or, reinstall it, and use a v1.0 trainer that hasa higher chance of working. (being that it's a year old versus a few months)
I had problems with all stalker trainers written by cheathappens. No matter what version I use...so its not a problem with the system or in which directory the trainer is located...its a problem with the code of the trainer. I think the coder had not put much effort in it,cos other trainers are working too. But...its a pity...I havent found a trainer for 10005 or 10006. So I htought...yay...cheat happens made a trainer =)But...yes
Oh and...not that cheat happens produces bad trainers...that shopuld not be the essantial of my posting =) Often I was very pleased with CH trainers...but this Stalker thing is just ****,lol.
