For Underground 2, the fastest grip car is the Toyota Corolla, which is one of the free starter cars. Later you might want to get a Lincoln Navigator for the SUV events. The VW GTI is easiest to drift with but the Corolla is good enough to win with. The 240SX had the fastest online times, but in career mode, with the unique peformance parts, there isn't enough difference to make it worth buying, especially since there is no more online play.
I`d re-install the game if i were you it worked for me cos the same thing happenened if it dont work then check the system requirements for the game and see if they match
