Playboy X was a jerk and deserved to die. I couldn't kill a dude like Dwayne for him. Despite being a criminal and low-life, Dwayne was wronged by X and was somewhat of a sympathetic character.

I kind of felt that way when i killed that guy who was hanging from the roof. and then about two missions later I killed the guy who gave me the mission. I am still wondering what would have happened if i let the other guy live.
