Around 24 countries are participating - in UAE they've announced that street lamps will dim by 50%, and the use of candles is highly encouraged. The heat's not that bad at night, so it will be tolerable without the A/C on... all-in-all, I think this idea is brilliant.

Well, it's snowing here so the heat won't be off any time soon. Damn, I was really looking forward to spring. I would gladly turn off as many lights as possible but it's pretty much pitch black here at 8 so I can't turn them all off. I will definitely do as much as possible.
