Not just that, the PS3 breaks down because of dust. DUST. No offence to Sony fanboys and Sony themselves, but that's pathetic. And Sony say that this voids the warranty, so they can't do anything about it. Whereas if your 360 gets the RRoD (highly unlikely, with the newer models featuring 65nm chipsets), Microsoft will take it in and fix it free of cost.
Also, the PSN doesn't really work. PSN is Sony's free equivalent to XBL, and as far as I can tell the only thing going for it is "Home" - a large, social community with media sharing/downloading - and the fact that the PSN is free.
In terms of games, the only decent games going for the PS3 are Gran Turismo 5, Haze and Resistance: Fall of Man, but the 360 counters that with Forza Motorsport 2, Halo 3 and Mass Effect. And THEN, there's the rest of the library.
Also, the PS3's base 20GB costs the same as the top of the line Xbox 360 Elite, with 120GB and a much cooler matte black finish.
You decide.
I hadnt heard of any malfunctions due to dust? is that really happening?
