When I download a trainer, do i make it work??? I'm not very computer literate, so can someone help this old idiot?

Run the trainer.Then start the game,then press the buttons which are made given in the trainer to activate its corresponding functions.Here's an e.g'F1-Unlimited nos'and etc.Some trainers need to be installed in the game file inorder to work.Enjoy
