look, i've played the pokemon games for an incredible amount of time. I've heard of and tried many of the "urban legends" that people make up. Like "beat the elite four 99 times with a slowbro to get mew" is an urban legend from the Red and Blue Games, from the gold/silver/crystal there were ones like "walk (not run, walk) through diglett's cave 999 times straight and celebi will appear. One from the ruby/sapphire/emerald games people make up urban legends like "battle a random trainer 666 times (one near a cave, i can't recall the name) and then run inside the cave and mewthree will appear"

None of these are true. They were all made up by people who get their kicks watching people struggle for nothing. This is another one of those urban legends.

There is NO way to elevate your pokemon above level 100 (unless you're a hacker or something)

Anyone who says this "trick" works is not telling the truth. "The pokemon will like you so much that it will go above level 100" come on... that doesnt sound fishy to you?

As I used to play Pokemon way back in the day of Red and Blue (Venusaur FTW!) I understand that these legends are just that legends, and you should take anything you read on the Internet with a great deal of skepticism.

Unless one can give me undeniable proof that this method works in the form of an article written on a credible gaming site such as IGN or Gamespot, along side a video of some sort and perhaps a number of other media methods, the topic is locked.

Oh, I sooooo agree, the good old days of Pokemon Blue and Red, I loved those games, knew all the pokemon off by heart too
