Imperial Guard are good, with their banebade and all BUT if you learn how to use them the necrons and tauare better, they just take some skill and practise to use. e.g. tau commander can easaliy kill force commander of command squad with it's rockits and the necron lord is basically indestructable and can turn into the unstoppable night bringer.
(ps the monolth is better than a land raider)

Space Marines are amazing but the impreialguard weakness in numbers sums it up
