i was judging it on how good of a movie it was..not how historically accurate it was

in this kind of "history" movies I don't care about if that history is accurate, I just care about if the story that I watch is good or not.

Well, seeing as how probably at least 80% of the world hadn't ever even heard of the Battle of Thermopylae before the movie came out, it really taught plenty of people about it. Not all of the things were accurate, but not all of the things were false either.
