There are people that have found ways to "hack" the code in San Andreas. This lets them change every aspect of the game. Cars in San Andreas are made up of a "txd" file which holds the textures or what the car looks like and a "dff" file, don't know what that does. So people make their own "txd" and "dff" files and replace the originals with the new ones.

If you don't want to do all that, download SAMI (San Andreas Mod Installer) and use it to mod cars. All you do is tell it where the mod is, where your San Andreas "exe" file is, then it shows you the data in the mod (change it if you want, don't change it if you don't know what it does), then tell it what car you want to replace with the new one, and you're done. SAMI will handle all the file replacements for you and will even make a backup so you can uninstall a mod and get the original car back.

Go here to download SAMI:
gta-worldmods.planet-multiplayer.de/phpkit/start/include.php?path=content/download.php&contentid=399
just click on the little red download icon

To get mods for vehicles (cars, trucks, planes, helicopters, boats, bikes), buildings, weapons, the environment (plants and stuff) and way more go here, it's really just the same site as above:
gta-worldmods.planet-multiplayer.de/phpkit/start/

There is a navigation thing on the left, scroll down to GTA San Andreas and click on "cars" under downloads. That will take you to a page with a lot of car companies listed. Click on one to see all the cars made by that company that you can put in your game. So if you want a Bugatti Veyron, click on Bugatti in the list. Then you'll be taken to a page listing the available mods with pictures of each so you see if you like it. Click on a picture to go to that files download page.

***IMPORTANT***
San Andreas has set graphics limits, enough to handle all the cars and buildings and environment that you see when in the game. Modded things take considerably more graphics resources than the original ones. So there is a limit to how many things you can mod before things in the environment start disappearing. If you install too many things, buildings and stuff will not load and when you look in different directions, things won't look how they're supposed to. So keep the mods to a limit, just mod a certain amount of things. If the graphics start messing up, uninstall a mod or two.

The mod you downloaded should be a 'rar' or a 'zip' file. There should one 'dff' and one or more 'txd' files in that 'rar' or 'zip'. SAMI is supposed to be able to recognize the 'dff' and 'txd' by itself.

There is another way to install a mod though, it is a tiny bit more involved but it's still extremely easy.

Go here:
gta-worldmods.planet-multiplayer.de/phpkit/start/include.php?path=content/download.php&contentid=1840&PHPKITSID=d937718656f39ffff9f5a225ba408a92

Download that tool called IMG Editor. Extract the files, run the program, click 'open' and find the file gta3.img. It is in Program Files/Rockstar Games/GTA San Andreas/models. Once you open the file with the Editor there will be a list that is thousands of items long, those are 'txd' and 'dff' files. To make a backup of an original file, click 'Export' and choose a place to save the file. To replace a file click 'Import (remove if exists)' and find the files you want to install (you can highlight many at once to make things quicker). Save the file once you're done and you now have different cars in your game.

If you download a file that has multiple 'txd' files, the ones with a number behind the name of the car are paint jobs that can be installed from Trans Fenders or Wheel Arch Angels. To make sure you replace the right car, change the name of the 'txd' and 'dff' files to the name of the car you want to replace. Some car names are so long that they are shortened so just type part of the name of the car you want to replace into the search bar and press enter to see what name is used.

Spoilers and body kits work differently than cars do. Each car that can be modified has it's own set of body kits and spoilers. Rims are shared by all cars.

Installing rims is easy. Just use the IMG Tool to replace the existing rims with the new ones. The new ones should have the proper names, if they don't then they aren't worth installing. Just export the old rims out and keep them safe and then import the new ones in.

Installing the body kits and spoilers is a bit harder. Since each car has it's own set of them, you have to make sure you install them for the right car. I'll use a Ford Escort RS Cosworth as an example. You can find the mod at:

gta-worldmods.planet-multiplayer.de/phpkit/start/include.php?path=content/download.php&contentid=3701

This mod was made to replace the Sultan. The body kits and spoilers have names like:

wg_l_a_s.dff
wg_l_c_s.dff
wg_r_a_s.dff
wg_r_c_s.dff
exh_a_s.dff (exhaust 1)
exh_c_s.dff (exhaust 2)
fbmp_a_s.dff (front bumper 1)
fbmp_c_s.dff (front bumper 2)
rbmp_a_s.dff (rear bumper)
spl_a_s_b.dff
spl_c_s_b.dff

You'll notice that there is the letter 's' at the end of each of those parts. That 's' stands for Sultan so if you install those parts as they are they will only be available for the Sultan. If you install the Escort as the Sultan you'll be OK. But most people want to replace a different car than the one that it was made to replace since sometimes and mod author just randomly chooses a car to replace. So all you have to do is replace the 's' with the letter that corresponds to the car you want to replace. These are the ones I know of:

Sultan - s
Stratum - st
Uranus - u
Elegy - l
Flash - f

As far as I know you can't install body kits for all the cars. Only the ones that have body kits to begin with. I would just stick with installing body kits for the cars that can be modified at Wheel Arc Angels.

Hey thx man¬!¬! i think i still nid to get a bit of school learning for the IMG editor, but, if the car i installed wif SAMI, its not entirely every car can go and mod in the garage. for example like Enzo, it will automatically close the GTA SA program if i press the exhaust window. so how can i know wic one can mod wic one cant???

Well, only the cars that could originally get body kits can be modified after being replaced but only if you install new kits. Same goes for every single other part, including exhausts and nitrous. Rims won't cause any problem but everything else will. If you install a new car, don't modify it in any way unless you installed parts that were made for it. So the cars that you can modify with new parts would be:

- Sultan
- Uranus
- Stratum
- Elegy
- Jester
- Flash

Most mods for these cars will come with their own parts like body kits and paint jobs. A few even have exhausts but most don't.
