For me personally,I don't feel the need to special tune my grip, drift, and speed cars. All they need is the packages, power and handling. That's all I give them and I am winning races nicely. The drag cars do need special tuning. You'll never win a drag with a level 1 or 2 car, unless that car is maxed to level 4,boosts high, all gears tall.

I personally never tune my cars, I wish I knew enough to do so but I can't take a video game that seriously. I do agree that a level 1-2 car won't win a drag but I don't race with anything less than a fully modified car no matter what race mode I'm in. All my cars are level 4. My GT500 at level 4 did the 1/4 in the high 6's without any tuning at all.

Exactly, its a game,so why be so meticulous with tuning your cars? If you are winning without special tuning that's all that counts.

That's how I see it. Need for Speed never focused much on the actual car, there are so many things (traffic, tight hairpins and 90 degree corners) that can take all your tuning and make it pointless. Pro Street was an attempt at this but as we can all see, that didn't turn out so well. NFS is more about the driver than the car, that's why I never saw the point in tuning, at least in this game. I have played games where tuning is actually pretty essential in getting an edge on the competition.

Oh, I don't play games on my computer. I prefer using a controller rather than a mouse and keyboard. Controllers make the gameplay so much smoother, plus I don't have to pause the game to figure out which of the hundred buttons on the keyboard does what. I'd need a third hand to do on a computer what I can do with a controller.

XBOX controllers are the only ones I can use properly. The Playstation ones feel awkward and I don't like their setups, especially the lack of triggers. The XBOX ones are the perfect size for my hands, they fit together perfectly so I'm happy. I really like the the 360 controllers are wireless, I used to have to move around to let people walk in front of the TV since the cable would always be above the carpet and people would trip over it, no more of that.
