I can't seem to get the skill points to work. Everything else works fine, i can get the attributes to increase, and the money works fine. But it gets messed up with the skill points. First, it wouldn't work at all with my old characters. So i start a new character, and the option starts to work, but when i quit and start it later it won't work. And i can't just dump a lot of points in the beginning and use them later cause, like Pwizard (i think) said there is a anti-cheat setup that prevents you from accumulating a lot of points. I'm just wondering if anyone else can get it to work.
i'm using the basic (1st) HL's trainer for DX9, n i didn't properly read the warning regarding the "skill" button... i think i exceeded the numbers of time i'm allowed to "push" numpad (6)... i didn't have any problems with saving the game, but i havent been able to get more than 1 skill point at any point in the game... i hate to restart the whole game all over again, cos i'm alrdy at the Templar Base level... is there anyway i could repair this? maybe by re-editing my character's skills point outside the game? if so, where can i look for such file?
any help would be great, thanks...
