In reality, drags are for Muscle cars, not Exotics and Tuners. I'm sure there are derranged creeps out there that do indeed drag Tuners. That enrages me to no end. Tuners are ideal for drifting and straight out racing,NOT drag racing. As for Exotics,as expensive as they are only a sick, twisted individual is going to race them, unless its an Exotic specially made for racing, like DBR9.

Sweety open your eyes, there's alot of people dragging tuners. In fact The NHRA even have sport compact series.

Pro-FWD series run low 7's and Pro-RWD in the mid 6's.

The exotics get raced more than you know, but i'm guessing you like circle racing.

The 90's called, they want their stereotype back.

What the ever! As owner of a Tuner I very strongly disagree with dragging them. We have the Muscles for the drags! Tuners are best suited for drifting and straight out racing,NOT drags! And the 90s!

Lol, did i hit a nerve? That fine if you strongly disagree with drag racing sport compacts. It does mean it doesn't happen and to call all the people that do it on a professional or amatuer level crazy & demented is just well, ignorant.

The cars in the pro classes i mentioned are tube frame fiberglass bodied race cars. not much different from what pro muscle cars are. difference is, the sport compacts rely alot more on technology and turbocharging over the tradition big block + supercharger + nitrous combination.

Just try and keep an open mind is all i'm saying

Davzilla is right. Tuners are used for drags. I've seen it myself, firsthand. Muscle cars are hard to come by here in the UAE, and in our annual legal drag racing competition, you see all sorts of supras, 350Zs and even Focuses ( ). In the grand finale the Sheikh himself comes down, and guess what he drives?

You won't believe it, but he runs a Lamborghini Diablo SV. Does a standing 1/4 mile in just under 8 seconds, and a standing 1/2 mile in 12 seconds. It's super quick.

2hot4u, I will not reprimand you/report you in this instance. You just have to get used to the fact that there will be people and facts that disagree with your beliefs. It's all very well and good being disgusted at tuners drag racing, but the fact of the matter is that it happens. And you have to accept that it does happen, but you don't necessarily have to like everything you believe.

No I don't like it,but I also can't do anything about it,but as I see it,dragging Tuners is a disgrace to that car class,as well as to the Muscles. Its really a case of Tuner owners trying to steal the thunder from Muscle owners. Drag racing has always belonged to the Muscles. Drifting came in and the Tuners took that as theirs. Muscles are masculine,as is drag racing. Tuners are feminen, not suited for drags. Its very unbecoming to drag race the little imports. Its a disgrace to them. Give drag racing back to the Muscles, where it belongs.

Ever consider the fact that most muscles are way too expensive for them? I'm sure they have considered it, but they have no choice - tuners are generally very, very cheap. And drag racing is the purest, simplest form of adrenaline-rush racing, so it's too tempting to say no to it.

You have to consider real-life factors before making a judgement. I disapprove of it, but I know why it is what it is.

Yeah,I figured they were using Tuners because they can't afford the Muscles. That's acceptable, understandable, but I don't like it.
