you have to be fast, i recommend using a light weapon like a master katana or the harbenger.
you just go around taking out its arms and when its head pops over the side keep hitting it, after it pulls its head back you can take out your bow and bust its face up =]

if you have the healing spell it should heal her aswell when you use it

Its simple try to hit his tentacles, and when his head appear shot with bow and multiple arrow, stay wlaking around and your mother (scarlet) will not die, I hope it help you, I'm not american so my english isn't so good!
when i do this , i keep her back abit as the tentical comes down i roll backwards out the way then beat the crap outta it , if u have a good weapon at this point u can kill it the 1st time the tentical comes down
All i did was keep running around the Circle/area where you vs the kraken and keep using the Multi strike spell, Multi arrow spell and summon ghost swords. I didn't know that you had to protect scarlet robe the first time i killed the kraken lol.

i say this for your own good DO NOT USE MULTI ARROW, I REPEAT DO NOT USE THAT SKILL it makes ur bow deal less damage but hit 3 times just use a melee weapon for the tentacles and just shoot the out of it w/ a bow in its face to teach that a lesson
