Ok, after messing with the game further I discovered that the game automatically caps your XP if you level up or bring your experience too high too early in the game.
So what to do with that character that is level 40 but you can't get any more skill points, attribute points? Well cheathappens has you covered.
I created Trainer version 2 for DX-9 version (DX-10 version forthcoming) which adds new features. Take a look below.
OPTIONS NOTES* -------
Numpad 1: Health- Locks your health so that attacks do not affect you. May not work in all instances.
Numpad 2: Power- Locks your power Orb so that you can attack with power items.
Numpad 3: Experience- Adds Experience. You must first kill something to get at least 1 experience point normally to make this work correctly. Also, you may not level up until you kill something if you have passed the level amount.
Numpad 4: Attributes- Adds attributes points. You might need to have at least 1 attribute point for this to work correctly.
Numpad 5: Skills- Adds skill points. You might need to have at least 1 skill point for this to work correctly.
Numpad 6: Palladium- Adds Platinum. You might need to have at least 1 palladium piece for this to work correctly.
Numpad 7: Experience (+)100- Adds MEGA Experience. You must first kill something to get at least 1 experience point normally to make this work correctly. Also, you may not level up until you kill something if you have passed the level amount.
Numpad 8: Experience (-)100- Subtracts MEGA Experience. Why would this be necessary? If you level up too high the game may stop adding Exerience points when you kill things, which prevents you from gaining Attribute Points and SKill Points. Use this to set your Experience back to something Low again and Lessen Your levels and then you can level up all over again, which will afford you more attribute points.
Numpad +: Add Level- Instantly add a level to your character. Not that this does not add Skill points or Attribute points.
Numpad -: Subtract Level- Instantly subtract a level. Why would this be necessary? If you level up too high the game may stop adding Exerience points when you kill things, which prevents you from gaining Attribute Points and SKill Points. Use this to and the Experience option to set them Low again and Lessen Your levels and then you can level up all over again, which will afford you more attribute and skill points.
Now you can revert your character to lower levels and revert your XP to lower amounts and level up all over again, which means that the game will give you more attribute and skill points as you level up again each time.
We hope that this will help those who have been stuck because of the game's level/XP capping.
Stupid question, I have the UK retail version and it has updated the online exe to the new revision, so does that mean that the single player exe is the same revision? I ask as I cannot see a way of finding out the exe version of single player (its not shown in the game UI like online version)
Hope I make sense ...
