Is it worth it to purchase any of the 8 offical mods such as Knights of the Nine, Deepscorn Hollow, Spell Tomes or any of the others? I plan on getting Shivering Isles also.

get the knights of the nine and the mages tower also, the armor from the nine is freakin sweet and the mages tower gives you: ability to make spells and enchant items(without being in mages guild) can create flame, frost and another kind of atronachs a garden with a ton of alchemy ingredients, including stuff from the realm of oblivion a counter to do alchemy that gives you +15 to alchemy skill when near it.
i would bother getting the vile layer (unless you re a vamp) and the horse armor is useless when you have shadowmere. also the tomes aren't that common and unless you re a mage you won't be able to use the majority of them.

Mehures Razor is a good quest and so is the new Fighters Stronghold wich is free for download during the first week.
