How about a "most unconventional" award? Could be interesting

I think all the nominees are self explanatory.

A bit too many to name off the top of my head though.

Oh one more thing, can moderators be nominated and win awards?

Nope, mods and founders are exempt from the awards. Another side note, the nominee list will be fairly small, I'm shooting for about 6 on each of the categories, although the thread category may be cut down to 4-5. So, this wont be an "all old members get nominated" thing, its going to be a "wow, its an honor to be nominated" thing.

member of the year---potato_chips
-he has been here for a very long time, and personally, I have never seen him flame a member or spam. He has always been kind to me, and I have seen multiple topics where he has helped newer members with their questions on games and with the site. imo, he has been an exemplary member, who maintains his cool at all times. In short, he makes the site more fun

thread of the year---"wrestling talk" by Jackal
-imo, jackal does a good job of taking control of his topic. He rarely lets it get out of hand, and most all the posts are on-topic and informative. Imo, its a good example of people with greatly differing opinions expressing them without total chaos breaking out.

I do get ruffled sometimes though, and for some reason KOG usually is there and calms me down with a few sensible words

I definately love this idea.
You know, if there was only a way to get all the active CHU members to one place (like where they hold the Oscars) and have the presentations.

Except thats not gonna happen.
But it would be awesome though.
