Massive announced that a patch should be released next week for WiC.
Will this require a trainer update as well, and if so, how quickly can they usually be done...?

Yes, updates almost always require a trainer update. This is an extremely busy time for us with all the new releases and updates coming out. We'll get to it as quickly as possible, but that's all I can really tell you.
