we may look at this again when time permits. we have so many new game releases to deal with right now! i guess the answer is for the no-Cd users to use the inital release that allowed 2.101 update and don't go online to play the single player or CPU skirmishes with our trainer. it seems the only workable answer right now-
i hate that you cannot update. that seems like a serious problem because there likely will be several updates to this game in the future if regular COH is any indicator-
A no-cd fix has been released for v2.101 so this a backport is probably off the table at this point. Sorry Pegasus.. you should try and get help with your install problem from Relic.

indeed a no-cd crack has been released by FAiRLiGHT for 2.101.
i seem to work, if you really need it. I've just recieved my disc from a retail store so it isn't really neccesary for me to have a crack, but agreed i prefer to have games start without a disc inserted. On the other hand i perfectly understand that the publisher wan't to protect the product.
And for those with slower internet connections... You don't have to download to play the retail 2.100 version.
To play "offline" with the original DVD in the tray:
Just start the game via the cd menu and a disc verification will pop up at the game start. If the disc is verified, the game will bypass the need of online registration and patching.
To play "offline" with the FAiRLiGHT crack:
Patch the game then overwrite the original files with the fixed ones and run the game using the disc menu as with the un-modified version. Upon verification click continue and the check is bypassed.
To play "offline" with DAEMON Tools + YASU (Or alike) + Image File:
Mount an image of your legally purchased disc using DAEMON Tools. Run YASU or use another emulator hiding tool. Run the game from the menu as in the other solutions.
Alternately you can disable your internet connection and the game will go straight to the disc verification no matter which way you choose to start it.
