World in Conflict Message Board  

The icons in the game World in Conflict **** me off. When you have alot of men if you position your camera just right you get spammed with these damned icons. They float above your troops heads. Like we cant see them well enough already, we dont need these damned things screwing up our view. Im soory if im angry but ive had it up to here with them ! PLEASE tell me how to minimize disable or eliminate them !

yah, i totally agree. the icons need some big revamping.

Are you talking about those big long lines that come from the icons.

I'm talking about the unit icons that show what units you see on the ground/air. For instance, infantry is a helmet icon. These icons could be replaced easily I bet. I'd like to see text overlaid on top of the icon.

So, have the helmet icon as it is, and then have "infantry" or "anti-air" text on top of it, so that making sudden decisions on the battlefield isn't such a hassle.

Of course, I would like to see the ability to completely switch out the icons with better made ones, change the color of your own units, change the way your own units (selected and deselected) appear to you at all zoom levels to make it easier to make quick commands.

Overall, WIC is a great game, but I can see there are some features that other strat-games bring to the table that WIC NEEDS to implement. Look to C&C3 tiberium wars, dawn of war, and company of heroes for some ideas.

yup. works great but the healthlines run nearly off screen.doh!

Check with the gameplay options, i think a saw somethin' about those icons there...
