Why is it that whenever LP gets one of these lame patches current one being maps and I try to use a trainer my game crashes. I dont plan on playing this game online so why the constant updates.

Does anyone know of a way so that i can by pass steam and keep it at the last update.

I got the lame patch as well. I did, however, find out that you can disable automatically updating the game:
1) Right-click the title, and click on the Properties.
2) Click on the update tab.
3) In the drop down box, select "Do not automatically update this game."

Hopefully, the wonderful people at CH will make us another fix?

Unfortunately I have heard that you cannot play your game unless you update it which is one reason I hate steam.
If they are going to publish maps it should be an optional download, save the space on my computer.
I hope the next CH trainer is out soon.
