i have windows vista.i installed the patch for v,1.3.1416 i downloaded the patch into the game folder. i went to properties on both the trainer and the darkstar.exe icon and under compatibility i checked the boxes for win xp service pack 2 and run as administrator. i started the game first. then i went out of the game and started the trn. and when i hit the num.pad buttons for the trn. i heard the activated voice but the trn. does not work. and i do not see anything on the screen that says that the trn. is on.do i have to install the patch for vers. 2 also. i only installed the patch for vers. 3 any help would be appriciated thanks.

Did you disable your antivirus? Did you try without running in compatibility mode, only as Administrator? Did you try running the trainer BEFORE the game and from the same folder? Are you using the no-cd fix? Did you try everything else from the troubleshooting guide?

what is the no cd fix ?

Removes the copy protection from the game and allows the trainer to work.

i have now tried all and when the trn. is on i get the activation voice but it does not work.

I'm sorry, you must have something blocking the trainer from injecting it's code. If you've gone through everthing in the guide one by one and done everything we suggested, then theres not much else I can tell you. The trainer works fine for other people so something with your configuration just isn't compatible.

No problem. I'm sorry you're having issues. If you figure it out, please post back for others that may be having the same sort of problem. It's probably something simple.
