Im trying to install the latest patch so that i can play online BUT! it wont install it says that it

We currently don't have any Battlefield 2 trainers, cheats or editors for PC. Premium members may REQUEST new trainers and cheats using our request system as long as the game has not been permanently retired or multiplayer only in nature. Use our message board to discuss the game.

Im trying to install the latest patch so that i can play online BUT! it wont install it says that it cannot find the install directory for the game and i tryed to uninstall it but nothing happens and i put the cd in and it comes up with install i click on that then nothing happens. Whats going on? does anyone have any help or suggestions?

Don't install the patch, it crashes my game once, and i don't intend it to let it happen again.
