okay, i annhilated the emerald weapon (underwater) but the ruby weapon (desert) is too tricky for me i guess. i know the routine: W-Summon, Knights of the Round, Mime, and Final Attack linked with Pheonix but I need extra help. can anyone help me?

Ruby is weak against Hades/ Stop.

Try putting HP absorb on to KOTR.

Start the fight with only one character alive and use phoenix after it digs its claws under the ground (use Big Guard to survive with one character until then).

another way is to use the item dazers, ruby weapon is suceptable to it, if you have w-item it is much easier as you use a dazers and then an elixir, especially since you have w-item materia you can do the item reproduction glitch to never run out of stuff

This is the easiest way to defeat RW. Have cloud equiped with master final attack materia linked with a master revive then use knights of the round. Every time you use it RW counters with Ultima but this doesn't matter due to the final attack-revive combo. When you get the chance, use Clouds Omnislash limit break.

Most important, I've never beat RW with all my characters still alive. Don't get sidetracked trying to heal your other characters. RW normally gets rid of two of them anyway using quicksand. It's a hard fight but hopefully this should help you.
