ok.. so i got a deep sea scale to change my clamperl to a gorebess.. do i give it to a male or female clamperl?
doesn't matter...you just have to trade it for it to work.

nope thats one thing I've always hated about these games, having to trade to evolve.
so i cant evolve it?
oh well..
what about if i just train it until it gets to like... level __ and then it evolves? will that work?

You also have to give Clamperl a Deepseascale or a Deepseatooth. (Then trade while Clamperl is holding it) The Deepseascale evolves Clamperl into Gorberyss and the Deepseatooth evolves Clamperl into Huntail. You can only get the Deepseatooth or the Deepseascale once in the game.
