im stuck i dont know which one to buy i have a PS2 now and want to upgrade but i dont know which is better 360 or PS3 if any one can offer some advice???

well, technically the PS3 is a more powerful system, although I think its over-priced. the 360 is a great system, not as powerful, but with games like gears of war out now, and games like halo 3 within sight, personally Id get the 360.

Id definitely wait for a price drop and some killer apps before I dropped that much for a game console. Now i'm not saying don't get the PS3, Ive seen video of some of there up and coming titles, and there absolutely amazing.

it may help to know what types of games you like, FPS's RPG's, Strategy, sports etc.

There's no point in buying a PS3 now really. The only reason you are paying the extra $200 is for the blu-ray player included...so unless you are wanting a PS3 to watch movies go with PS3.

I will try to keep this unbiased. Mind you I own both consoles.

Xbox 360
-Excellent online(your own gamercard, integrated with windows vista, etc.)
-Taking all PS3's exclusives (Metal Gear Solid 4, Assasins Creed, Unreal 3, GTA IV, etc.)
-Smaller design.
-Wider arcade selection (Galaga, Pacman, ilumines, geometry wars, etc.)
-Wider game selection(Halo 3, Gears of War, Splinter Cell, etc.) At this time the only exclusives that PS3 really has are Kingdom Hearts, Socom, and Ratchet and Clank.
-More popular company. Microsoft can make A LOT of things happen whenever they want.

PS3
-Almost all hit exclusives taken from 360
-No anticipated games announced for future release aside from Tekken and Virtua Fighter.
-Horrible online service.
-Wasted $200 unless you are buying your PS3 to also act as a Blu ray movie player.
-Losing a ton of cash with the PS3 released. Keep in mind a stand alone blu ray player costs $1000 to be built in and they are selling total for $200 included with the console.
-It's shiney.

The 360 you get alot of the same games as the ps3 like: Gta 4, Guitar Hero 2, Ea games, Tony Hawk games, and more. Plus you get Saints Row, Halo 3, and Gears of War, Oblivion; which are games that are only on the 360. And some games you can go online that you can't normally go on with the ps3. For example Guitar hero 2 and Tony Hawk. Plus I find you can do alot online with Xbox live.

Exclusive games for the PS3 are Killzone 2, Final Fantasy, and a few others. There are still bugs and glitches with the ps3, and not many games out. Yet. But if you get a ps3, you have the controller that is motion sensitive. With better graphics and more memory.

If I were you, I'd get the 360, not only is it cheaper, but it has good graphics, maybe not as good as the PS3, but nonetheless next-gen. You save a few hundred dollars while your at it as well.

Yeah 360 i have never played online with PS3 but i have with 360 and its awesom.

My plain was to get 360( which i have now) then wait a bit and get the wii and maybe in a year or 2 get PS3.If it improves in games i have played a few and they weren't that good.

So far the best looking game is gears of war but halo is the funnest (to me) and seeing as they are both out for 360 is just more reason to get the 360. So yeah get the 360
