i would pick mining/blcksmithing because after u mine u could black smith them make them into armor if u pick skinning/leatherwoking skin them then use leatherwork after (cash tip)=after u make them into armmor or anytthing with them sale more money and inprove ur skills hope this help

Where do u go to get the profession mining?

For Horde: Razor Hill and in Orgrimar.
For Alliance: Iron Forge or Stormwind (I think)
Hope it helps also I'd do Mining and black smithing or mining and enginearing because
1. they go well together
2. With black smithing you'll be able to make armour for not only your self maybe but others then sell it on AH for $
3. With enginearing you'll make things usefull like the epic flying mount (At 300 sum) and also very good Head equips (low level: Flying tiger goggles)

Ah, I'm a level 59 human arms warrior, with the professions of mining and blacksmithing. Any tips on how to raise blacksmithing without spending as much gold? So far, it's been a huge waste.
