Can any1 plz help me get this to work,i like this old game

It works like a charm though, so no danger....the only downside to this game is the diplomacy, the AI is so primitive and basic that, they declare war immediately if you have a single fighter less then them, its kinda silly.

Its like, when i cheat and have fleets of battleships, they immediately want peace...its pretty pathetic.

Thats why Master of Orion 2 is the best Space Strategy, depending on their personalities and racials, you have no trouble making trade treaties, research treaties and so on.

EDIT: I just found 1.08 patch, so i withdraw my statement of there being no 1.08 patch.

But there is no trainer for that version, so its silly to upgrade to it, if you use the trainer.

In the install folder, find and run ig2nt.exe.

Just a quick one - did you manage to find a trainer that would work with 1.14?

I'm looking into whether I can get the cheats to work.

Running 1.14 natively in vista 64, no need for compatibility mode.

For resolution problems:
Install 1.14
Run the config app (in start menu called setup)
Then go to the game directory and edit ig2.ini
There you'll find the resolution settings
Back this up before messing about with it.
Simply replace their res settings with your own.
Tested and working in my native 1680x1050x32.

Will post back with my verdict on cheats / trainers / editors.

Better off just not using the trainer. If you add more population to your planet they get really unhappy very quickly because of the sudden mass of population and if you're like me I put like 10,000 or so people on a planet so they eventually just mutiny and it just makes things difficult.

Imperium Galactica 2 should just be played without cheats. =\
