watch them change both the guns and make them awfull
ye have little faith in our good Blizard brothers
thumbs down i didnt like the br you can shoot short burst quickly with the ar and still hit and kill them
instead of fireing waiting to let you fire again and if thats all you have in close quarters im sorry
but i did hear a rumor that they will keep both
ar. 💛 br.
well if u dont like the br and u cant use it good then i guess ur a n00b czu the br has to be one of the easyest guns to use and it has to be one of the best and ar is just a s&p gun to it has no tactical fetures to it what so ever but thgats my opinion no re's back to me
oh missed it and to u NagaShadow the plasma pistal is one of the other best weps one hit with a charge of those tehn its a one hit for a br u guys r real n00bs at halo eh everyone that is good on halo knows that the br and pp(plasma pistal) r the best combo u couls ever have.. if u use it right once again no re's about me

Yes.
It will be a slightly changed version and probably upgraded version of the MA5B, but I hope they keep the BR aswell.
ES i am surprised with your answer. its not quite written in rock yet.
its speculated it will be, but its also speculated that the guns only being used as a fill spot not to reveal new weapons or what not. OXM has this but much better. they even asked bungie about it.
quote from OXM:
"What's this? An assault rifle from the first Halo? Is this the first confirmed weapon for Halo 3, or - since Chief doesn't shoot at anything in the trailer - is it simply a placehonlder to be replaced in the full version of Halo 3?"
Bungie: "The Chief is clearly holding a rifle that looks 'similar' to the Assault rifle from the original Halo. 'Similar' and 'identical' are two differentthings. That rifle is currently playabe in Halo 3, and fun to use, but as for identical? Not much was identical between Halo and Halo 2, so why should things be different this time?"
OXM take: "We were privy to a secret playable tehnology demo with this scene, during which Bungie fired this weapon. It not only looked exactly like its Halo counterpart, but it sounded identical, too. So it could just be a placeholder sound, but you never know..."
