The Sims 2 Message Board  

I am new to Sims 2, infact new to basically every game. I an not a gamer in the slightest as of now, but this game looked rpetty cool so I got it. Anyway, I'm doing a lot of reading trying to figure this game out and having only minimal success at this point.

I started a new Neighborhood and created a couple Sims (which I think they are falling in love at this point. Anyway, it has been like 24 or more hours since I started and I cannot feed them. I cannot "install" a refrdgerator because it is greyed out. Does that mean I do not have enough money for one? If I can't get a fridge how am I supposed to feed them? They are STARVING as of right now, and continuosly ****ed off. lol. HELP!!! Thank YOU!

Another thing is....I have tried some of the cheats and none of them seem to work. I'm getting desperate so I tried the money cheat na dit didn't do anything. Do youjust hold ctrl and shift and hit c? When I do that it pops up a text box at the top. Then I type in the cheat code and hit ENTER. nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!!

ahhh it is grey because you have no money! luckily you can easily fix that, hold ctrl shift and the c key all at the same time. a box should apear at the top of the screen, type in
Motherlode
that will give you 50,000 simoleons. also i have a help topic titled sims 2- ask me anything! if you ever need further help since I check that everyday. if you are having any further trouble with cheats also inform me if you would like.

Thanks for the reply. After this one, I will start to message you in that thread. I have $8,132.00. As far as I'm concerned this should be more than enough for a fridge...but maybe not. I have tried and tried cheats, but nothing ever happens when I type them in and then hit ENTER. Any ideas?

Nope. I was clicking on the wrong thing. It seems there is a couple different versions of the "washer machine". I had the wrong one. All straightened out now.
