In the quest escape from bowerstone prison, when i arrive in the circle and i have to defeat the monster in the lake, my mother always die i can i do?

Yeh, i had the same problem, and i have to admit that it certainly is one of the trickest parts of the game.

The reason being that the whle sucess of the mission relies on a NPC with very low health.

The way i got around that was one of two things, Either run around the circle fast [sprinting - helps if you have a high level speed ratio. Exp up for more speed], then you mother laggs behind a bit and the monster usually misses her.

Or two, try and use your bow to greater effect [if you are a ranger character] and shoot from a distance.

On reflection, i would advise the first one.

I HAVE A PROBLEM I HAVE GOT THE KEY BUT I CAN'T FING MY EQUIPTMENT ANY1 KNOW WHERE IT IS??????

it is in the center chest of the guards barracks.

i didnt have that problem.cause i had that "heal life" spell,so whenever she was hurt i healed her and myself.AND the easiest way to defeat that Kraken is when its head pops up,use the multiple arrow spell and itll deal lots of beautiful damage.

Just use the Heal Life spell, and if you don't have it, make your mother wait somewhere while you kill the monster.
Make her wait, then run to the other side.

PS: It's Bargate Prison, not Bowerstone Prison.

I cant believe so many people had a problem with escaping, i made it out with all the prisoners and my mother all at full health, its called slow time and a bow. I had level 2 slow time and scorms bow, piece of cake.
