I followed the instructions to the letter. Starting the game from Steam just causes an error to pop

GameGuard Failed to Init

I followed the instructions to the letter. Starting the game from Steam just causes an error to pop up that says GameGuard failed to init. And it also opens up a website to gameguardfaq.nprotect.com/eng/con_14.html.
