Greetings. I haven't commented often, but I thought I would try this tool for convenience, so I won't have to use setup Tinker each time I try a new game with Aurora.

Now, I installed it exactly as the video directed, but the tool doesn't launch Aurora both in Desktop and Steam modes.

Some information that might be helpful:
• The target game is Disney Dreamlight Valley
• I had previously ran Aurora through Steam Tinker, and it works perfectly.
• Running Aurora separately through Steam also works, although it can't hook in this state.
• It's the same Aurora /dir that is set for the tool and was correctly detected it during installation.
• I made sure that version parity is congruent, both through Tinker and the Tool: GE- Proton8-22, also tried other proton versions (experimental, P8, and GE-P8-27).
• When I use it, I set Aurora Launch as the compatibility tool.
• The CH logo doesn't show in the bottom-right corner like it does when it works through Tinker.
• The windows options during Steam mode doesn't show Aurora as a window (only DDV and ASD Tool).
• Despite Aurora not being present, the tool still says that it's "running" in green text.
• I tried different combinations of settings for foreground, background, and delays with no luck.
• Running on latest version of all software involved as of writing (01-23)/(Steam OS: Stable pipeline).
• I had KB+M connected while testing.
• I waited a few seconds between launching and adjusting settings for launches.
• Tried restarting between some tests.
• My Steam Deck was docked the whole time, and it has a pin code for security during travels.

I'll be honest, I'm not savvy enough to know what I'm doing wrong. I'm lucky enough that I could get Tinker to work correctly (thanks to other CH videos), but I love the convenience this tool could offer me if my dunce of a brain could just get it working. That said, sorry for the bother, and I thank you for reading. Sorry for the potential user error. 😅

Is it just with THIS game or any other?

I tried it with Nier: Automata, SAO: Fatal Bullet, and a few other games, but it still didn't work. I might throw a video attachment together, just in case. I'll finish that when I'm free again. Sorry for the delay.

Is there a 100% step by step video on how to actually use the tool?
Something beyond for dummies and something for people with brain damage like me.
I just can't figure out how to use it properly.
Heres whats going on. Same for the games I've tried (Midnight Suns, Miles Morales, Spider-Man, and Witcher 3)
I've tried in Game mode and Desktop mode.
Confirmed that Developer mode is on.
Tried in windowed mode.
Tool seems to be installed properly.

1. I run the game. Tool starts, then I get a popup for the basic Aurora menu. It does not load the specific game trainer.
2. Game loads.
3. I use steam menu to switch to Aurora.
4. Several things happen.
4a. Cursor no longer works so I have to click the screen
4b. Keyboard does not show up even with Steam-X so I can't type in search to try to find the game and manually start trainer.
4c. Since cursor and arrows and everything doesn't work I can't scroll through installed game list to find games. If I try it randomly starts opening multiple games as I try scrolling with my finger.
4d. Tried connecting with mobile and it says its connected but it doesn't actually seem to link and I cant start a trainer on mobile that shows up in Aurora. Both are on the same WiFi.
5. I can't seem to load Aurora without a game running. I was hoping I could and then try favoriting a few games to see if that helps, but no go.

I'd bet it's user error which is why I need specific instructions to try.

As for 4d) is Aurora also connected to mobile server? The bottom left mobile icon on Aurora should be green.

For the games I personally only have Midnight Suns, I will take a look at it.

Yes. It starts as red on SD then I connect via mobile app and it turns green.
I've also tried it with Aurora running on the SD and laptop and also just on the SD.
If it matters, both the SD and laptop seem to use the same ID and password to connect.

As for the other stuff, keep in mind. I literally have brain damage and have trouble processing things, so a lot/all of it could be user error. I try not to rule that out anymore and I might just be doing something seriously wrong.
It's why I hesitate to submit a bug report nd waste your time until I can confirm with other people if it IS user error or a bug.

I dont think you did a mistake. The problem that Aurora becomes not interactable for some games is a known problem other users have as well.

Can you tell me if Aurora does not react to key press or touch screen, is the SD tool still responsible to key presses? I think you should be able to switch to SD tool window too.
