how does the item level and item ammount work cant get it to work at all

It's simple, just put it at a high number (I do like 1,000 / 2,000) for both, then you're all good. Just go kill things, and see all the extra loot that drops for you. Essentially all it does it increase your luck for enemy item drops.
Of, course it might do more than that, but I haven't used it for anything else, but enemy drops. Also, it resets to 1 after you rest at a vestige. So, make sure to re-do it after every rest you do.

MOUSE OVER ITEM... it will put values in the trainer you can then edit. May not work with all items but should work with most. Item level is most useful for weapons and armor. Amount is the number of that Item you own. Like you have 9 health potions, so 9 is the amount.

Should show up when you go into the trainer.
If it isn't check inside trainer settings, when trainer is open, and click and "Show/Hide trainer attachments"
