    Hi,

I would like to enquire as to whether there is a method to edit the quoted post when making a post. Right now, the quote function only works with the entire post. It isn't an issue when it's just a single post but some posts have multiple quotes before it and they are all included in the quote function and it can lead to an unnecessarily long post. Another reason for editing quotes is when a user may only want to answer to a particular point in a post rather than the whole thing which may contain several points.

An ad hoc method would be to edit the post after posting and remove the previous quotes or part of the post which is what I'm doing currently.

No biggie but it would be a nice QOL change IMO.

    Thank you.

Except the way you described by editing your post, you can also manually quote. If you edit your quoted post you will see the syntax. You can just write it yourself like I am doing right here:

    quote:
    originally posted by A user

A quoted post which never existed 👽

Apart from that no other way exists as of now.

Well, actually there is another way. If you quote a post within Aurora, it will write the syntax for you. There you can delete the lines you don't want to quote.

Thank you for the advice, 0x90.

Yeah, manual syntax is one way but I'm still somewhat unfamiliar with the one CH uses. But that's a me issue so I'll get used to it as time goes by.

I usually browse and post using the website while I'm doing work at the same time so I never thought of using Aurora to post. Thank you for the heads up.
