When downloading a standalone trainer Aurora keeps asking me to set a standalone trainer directory. I set this using the avatar - standalone trainers settings, the desired directory is shown there. After a restart of Aurora the same message pops up again, verification in the settings shows that a valid directory is set.

Have you checked the "dont show it again" in the message box?

My problem is not primarily whith the pop-up. Unless I understood it wrong (what absoltuly could be the case), the trainer - once downloaded and extracted to the standalone trainers directory - should show up in Aurora. This is not the case. Am I missing something or did I make a wrong assumption ?

Your first post only mentions the popup. About the other issue, not every standalone trainer can / will show up within Aurora. Especially when its an older one. If you can tell me which trainer this is about I can tell you if this is the case.

The last one I put into the directory last was Bioshock Enhanced, however in the directory are several other trainers, Civilization 6, Subnautica, The Witcher III or Assassins Creed Odyssey, just to name a few.

If you mean with "Bioshock Enhanced" the "Bioshock Remastered" trainer, then it is the case that the trainer is too old. And by "too old" I speak about the trainer template it uses, not the date it was published.
