Maybe I'm stupid here, it's quite possible. But, I would have thought that, requesting an update for a trainer would be because the latest version of the trainer isn't up to date with the latest version of the game?

But when I click the "request update" link, the page demands that "I confirm that I am using the correct version of the trainer for my game distribution." I would have thought that was the point of requesting an update, that I DON'T have the correct version because the latest version is WRONG?
Considering that the page also warns that I will be penalized if I get it wrong, I would definitely hesitate to make any such request. Which seems rather counter-productive.

That page only verifies that you can confirm that you got the latest version (that can be the SAME or NEWER) and there is still an issue. Many times people run an older version of the game on a trainer for a newer version of the game and wonder why it fails. Or they got the new version but run an outdated trainer.

This is only to save our programmers the precious time of deleting other titles, re-downloading and re-patching a game only to find out that it works just fine. You would be SHOCKED how many times this happens each day. So we WANT people to take pause there and make absolute for sure that the current trainer does not work with updated game. Some people see a game patch and just automatically file an update request when the current trainer still works with it, which is what they are designed to do.

Oh, I know people, I wouldn't be the slightest surprised in honesty. Just wasn't sure due to the phrasing.
