I was wondering if this would be the appropriate area to post this, so I apologize if it is not. I was wondering if there was a way to have certain trainers to produce a game overlay while playing games for people that have only one screen or easier access with keybinds to show overlay and activate/deactivate trainer options? While I know it can be done, but if it should or the amount of resources is not available (someone who knows how or time to do something like that available). It was just something I have been meaning to ask for some years now and just never actually asked anyone here about it. Love you guys!

We used to have this in our trainer template a long time ago and it caused more problems than it was worth. That was before we had DX9, DX10, DX11, DX12, Vulkan, OpenGL, etc, all of which the trainer would have to detect and support. At least that is what I was told the last time this came up. Maybe things are different now and it's easily possible. I'll have to let the trainer makers weigh in on it.

I appreciate the quick response, and hopefully in time, things will just get progressively better.

we have a singular trainer template. To do this you would have to detour the direct x routines, if the game even used those. Some games use opengl. This is something that would have to be custom coded for each game. This just isn't going to happen.

What I did was look around for an old used monitor/tv, something that would use the extra ports in my video card and plug into said monitor/tv. Go into Display settings, right click on any blank part of desktop, find the multiple displays box and set it to extend these displays, now you can move the trainer to that and keep the main game on your primary display. If you have an electronics recycling place in town you can score some pretty decent stuff for way cheap. Ebay, classified ads, facebook market place, lots of places to find good deals.

I know it's not what you asked for but if you wanted a second display but don't want to spend too much or space is at a premium ASUS do some pretty decent for the price USB monitors. Video and power is delivered via USB so you don't need lots of cables or ports and it's plug and play which gives the added benefit of being able to travel with it to use for work or pleasure. I use a cheap tablet stand to have one standing vertical next to my main monitor and use that for things like Discord and CH trainers.

Reading the Boards gives me information at a glance also useful, although ever since I have been a member of CHU I have always printed of all the details of a particular trainer and consequently has given me a library of my CHU trainers, just my Idea and its cheaper in the long run than having a 2nd monitor.:-)If you have a printer.
