Ugh.

Can't stand the new library. I mean it looks good but overall it's less efficient.

I liked the old library system because it didn't contain an almost overwhelming amount of information.

It's something to get used to for sure.

Yup the feelings about it are quite mixed also in the Steam forums, but like any software update eventually everyone will come around, that is until the next update..

I'm not liking it.

I've got a very large game library (5000 plus games) so the thumbnail loading in large "collections" is somewhat annoying but I can live with it.

The biggest issue I have is the game page on my 32 inch monitor. Prior to this I used the detail view and everything was compact on the left, now it's spread across the width on my monitor. I've turned off the community content so it doesn't load and it leaves me with alot of empty space that's very gray. It would be nice if the text color was brighter to break up the dull appearance and it would be easier to read.

I have to agree about the text. What is it with them, you'd think they were trying to save ink. It's so light in places, I always need reading glasses. Hmph. 🤔

It could be nice if we could choose text color and fonts, more customization options is always better.

That will not happen. From a developers point of view you spend too much resources into it and there is always a time-frame where people complain but after a while get used to it. Not to mention that people post in the forum if they dislike but when you're happy you mostly don't.

I think they will address the feedback and add missing stuff from the old design over time. For example the missing compact mode. From what I read it's mostly minor things people dislike. Like bad performance, missing an option here and there. All of this can be solved by working on it.

Now its not even loading the pages right....... Beta tested properly I dont think so. This is a broken mess!
