Yeah, I'll chime in. Infinite MP/HP works fine, as does the add gold cheat. However when I try to add exp or modify the character stats It doesn't work. It will show them as 999 but they do not affect combat and remain at the original amount they were prior to modifying the fields.
Also, adding exp does nothing for my characters.
I technically don't need uber stats so long as the infinite hp/mp works, but it'd really be nice to have maxed stats, so that battles would go quicker.
Anyway, just my two cents on the matter.
Really old post. However, if anyone is curious how to currently get the stats to work, I was able to.
Modify the characters stats and once you see the values up in the character page. Simply save the game and re-launch the game and your stats will stick and be reflected.

We tried and could not do it. You might want to do like so many other people and wait to buy the game AFTER we put a trainer out so you know which platforms we will covering.
