I would like to request a review of requesting trainers system. Since CH made the changes to the trainers system i now find it impossible to get a request for a trainer to be made. I have submitted heaps of trainers but all have been rejected under the new system. I would like to suggest a review of the system.
You are referring to the one where it takes 5 people to request the same game before it's added to the official page for funding? Just so you know, I have greenlit trainers that have only 3 or 4 requests as time allows on the schedule. In December our 2 trainer makers had to produce over 400 trainers just to keep up with all the new requests and updates. That's WITHOUT loosening the rules on requested titles. Our team can't be stretched any further by letting every title with 1 or 2 requests to be funded. There are over 550 of those in the holding queue. So we can either make and update trainers that 2 people will download and then not update other trainers that hundreds of people are using or we can keep things as they are. We can't make a trainer for every one of the 20 games that are released to version 0.0.0.0.0.0.1 early access on Steam every day.
If you have a better solution, we are happy to hear it, but it has to be one that benefits ALL USERS equally, not just yourself and has to be something that our team of 2 can handle without having to push other trainers and updates back by weeks.

Hey @wozjtf, I have submitted a similar Request to the Cheathappens Founders(PWizard, Nevermore). You want them to review the Trainer Request system but you haven't given them any type of ideas about want you want changed in that system. Take some time to come up with a clear cut idea and then present it. Then please give them sometime to look at your idea and see what direction they want to take things. I have presented an Idea to @Nevermore that I will also include in this message board. But just know that any idea you present will take some time. I learned that the Cheathappens staff has a lot on their plate so we just have to be patient when asking for changes to a section on their website. I am sure they take pride in what they have created and I understand that. With that said here is the Idea I presented:
"The Idea was Adding a Section to Trainer Request that shows you how many people Request a Trainer for a specific game and how many Request are needed to fulfill it. It would be just like how the Option Request Section is set up which I thought was a great addition. This way we can see how many people are interested in a trainer for a game we are also interested in. Plus it will let us know how many more Request are need for that game for a Trainer to be made. The way it is set up now is we only see the games that are currently up for trainer consideration and are collecting Credits to Fulfill the Request. What we don't see is the games that are pending and have not even made the list yet. A section dedicated to Games that haven't met the 5 Request minimum and how many Request are remaining on that game left."
These two programmers are already working like a well oiled assembly line, the only way they could produce many more trainers than they do now would be to add hours in the day.
They had to find some slightly limiting system, the way it used to be was pure chaos for those guys.
I agree with you 100% @Jaks. If the idea I have stresses them out even more I would rather them not do it and just keep things the way they are

This is something we can do, but then I fear the problem will be one like we have with the option request system. People start asking and begging other people to put in a request for a game they're not even interested in, sending PMs to other members, etc then we end up spending a lot of time on a trainer that is downloaded 3 times and not even by some of the people that requested it. They way it is now, we KNOW which games people are interested in because of the number of blind requests we get for it. Again, we can't make trainers for 600 games every month, we just don't have the staff to do it without sacrificing the quality and options of other more popular trainers and then we start getting complaints about that. Considering the huge number of premium members we have, if a game is remotely interesting or in need of a trainer, getting 5 people to request it should be a piece of cake. I also let some games slide in with only 3-4 requests if we are somewhat caught up.

Well said Mr. PWizard. With that said I think this subject should be dropped. I don't want quality of the trainers to drop nor do I want the workload of the staff to increase. I think the Trainer Request is fine the way it is @PWizard. Let me be the first to say it doesn't need to be touched.
