I'm honestly not sure, I use a controller, but I will say its a fun vehicle to drive, reminds me a lot of the original maco, switching how the drive train functions was one of their better ideas.

Haven't bought this game yet, waiting for more discounts on Origin.

Regarding driving vehicles, does this game still use the WASD system? Lordy, I hate that. The only game that ever had driving controls that made sense to me was Borderlands. You used the mouse to steer. Given all the shortcuts and dumb decisions the ME developers have made, I'm assuming the WASD system is what they used.

Dodge, you can setup the controls to your liking. I'm with you and don't like the WASD setup either. The Nomad is a blast to drive. It's not on sale on Origin at the moment, but I got the Deluxe version on there awhile back at 50% off so I'm sure it will be on sale again before too long.

Thanks Jaks, good to know. I just got MEA on sale (half price on Origin!) and am about to start after I finish a second play through on ME3 to say goodbye to my favourite characters. I really wish they'd carried them through but the logistics of players killed or romanced would have been very difficult to program. I'll miss the script, voice acting and witty bits of ME2 and 3 but am hoping to find new characters to like as much.

That's a good idea. I kinda wish I had played them again now, too. Both are so good, might play 'em again anyway. The people are totally different. I came to enjoy one particular squad and had a total blast fighting. Though I got my achievement for 3 romances in one play, they felt forgettable, more like one-night stands. There were a couple in ME-3 I enjoyed more for sure.

But I'm not complaining. I've played all 4 Mass Effect games now and truly enjoyed each one of them. There are other games I like as well, but other than maybe the Witcher games, none did I like as well, game for game. The CH trainers, as expected, amped up the enjoyment in all of them.

    😉

Which of all the ME games has been your favourite and how many playthroughs did you do?

ME2 was my favourite; I played as female Shepherd and romanced Garrus. I played ME2 four times, the first without any cheats, the next three with cheats here and there to move familiar parts more quickly. (I'm not a particularly good player, 'normal' setting is plenty hard enough for me and I never play MP) The funny thing is, I tried to romance other characters but missed Garrus and broke it off and went back to that character. Boy, am I loyal. Both female Shepherd and Garrus were wonderful voice actors and their scripts were excellent, very witty at times. You romanced three characters in one playthrough?! Must have cost you a lot of credits, lol.

I've played ME1 three times, ME2 four times and ME3 twice (just finishing last mission today). Then it's on to something new and I'm very curious about MEA. Do you have any tips for starting out? I'll play the game without cheats until I run into something too time-consuming to beat.

One last question -- what are the levels of play? Casual, Normal, Hardcore etc?

Well, I've played all four twice each now. For me, 2 & 3 were pretty equal and I now add MEA in that mix. I'd hate to have to pick one of those three, I enjoyed them all. I had 2 cheathappenss first play in MEA and got the 3 playing NG+ to get the achievement. I previously had cheathappenss with Tali, Ashley and Liara but there are all new ones in MEA. Garrus was always my Favorite pal until MEA anyway. In MEA I liked Drack and Vetra for fighting with as my squad. Some of the alien romances in MEA culminate with a convo, no disrobing or bedroom scene at all. The human romance was typical gaming romance scenes. 😋

To answer your last question, if you don't use the trainer I'd say Normal difficulty to start. Then next play on NG+ and using the trainer, I'd go at least Hardcore if not Insanity difficulty. The fighting is a blast. Completing some missions can be tricky. I'd suggest scanning everything and if you get stuck on one that won't pop for ya, check a video but what I would do is leave the planet and do something else for a bit. Then when I went back, things moved right along for the most part. I watched more videos for MEA than I did for the others.

Like with a lot of new AAA games, they could have done a few things better in MEA but I still really enjoyed the game. I think you will, too.
